RetroFoam Installation

Central Texas RetroFoam can provide RetroFoam installation on all kinds of homes, providing you with energy savings and comfort.

Installation by Home Exteriors

  • Vinyl / Aluminum / HardiePlank®

Our installation technicians will remove a row of siding on each side of your home. We drill a 2 ½-inch hole into each of the stud cavities, and we inject the foam into each hole. When every cavity is completely filled, our installation technicians plug the holes and replace the siding.

  • Wood Siding

Our installation technician drills a 2 ½-inch hole into each of the stud cavities and then injects the foam into each hole. Once every cavity is completely filled, the installers plug each hole with a cedar plug. The cedar plug is easy to sand and paint.

  • HardieBoard®

We offer two options for HardieBoard. We can either install RetroFoam from the inside (see interior installation) or we can drill ¾-inch holes from the outside and inject RetroFoam in a way similar to brick and stucco. Once the foam is injected, we can use mortar to fill the holes on the exterior.

  • Brick

For brick, our installation technician drills three ¾-inch holes in the mortar at various levels. Once the foam has been injected, the holes are filled with mortar that is closely matched to the mortar of the house.

  • Stucco

For stucco, our installation technician drills three ¾-inch holes in the wall. Once the foam has been injected, the holes are filled with mortar that is closely matched to the mortar of the house.

  • Cinder Block

Our installation technician drills holes into the middle of the wall to access the cores of the cinder block. Because cinder block cores are stacked in line, the foam fills the cavities up and down the wall. When the foam fills the cavities, the drill holes are filled with mortar.

Interior Installation

Drywall

After covering furniture and fixtures, we drill a 2 ½-inch hole into each wall cavity, roughly 4’ from the floor. Our installation technician then injects the foam and carefully and completely fills the cavity. After the foam is injected, the holes are plugged, and a rough patch of joint compound is applied.

Watch RetroFoam in Action

“Had Central Texas RetroFoam out today and they were... AWESOME! Took them about 4 hours from start to finish. They left the house just like they found it. Except for one thing, the home is COOLER now without the A/C coming on every five minutes. An outstanding job for my small 751 sq. ft. home. They were on time, very knowledgeable, and very clean, after the work was done you could not even tell that anyone was in the yard. It was an outstanding job that I was hesitant to pay the price but now, I am happy that I did.”
